Off-Season bookings - Refuge de la Coire

This form allows you to make your off-season booking at the La Coire refuge.

Bookings are confirmed once a €15 deposit per person per night has been paid by bank card (secure payment via this form).
This deposit covers the cost of a night-only option (with any extras to be paid on site depending on the options chosen).

Staffed mountain refuge (half-board included) subject to conditions: in the event of unfavorable weather or snow conditions OR if the staff are unavailable => there will be no staff on duty and no half-board service; you will be notified 72 hours in advance.

We do our best to offer local, homemade meals, but unfortunately we cannot accommodate all special dietary needs. However, we do offer a vegetarian option.

PLEASE NOTE: In winter, the shelter is staffed from January through mid-April, weather and snow conditions permitting.

For specific requests regarding half-board when the shelter is unstaffed, please contact us directly using the form.

Restrooms are available outside the shelter. There are no bathrooms or showers in operation during the winter. The water source is marked outside, a few meters from the shelter.

There is no way to charge your phone. Please note that there is little to no cell service at the shelter.

For sleeping, we provide 2 blankets. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag, as the nights are very cool. Dormitory temperatures range from 0 to 5°C; there is no heating in the dormitories. Hot water bottles are available upon request.

We’re on site to heat the building, help you prepare meals, provide updates on weather and snow conditions, and offer advice on your itineraries.
