Winter bookings - Refuge de la Coire

This form allows you to make a winter booking at the La Coire refuge.
For groups led by a professional guide, see below.

Bookings are confirmed once a €15 deposit per person per night has been paid by bank card (secure payment via this form).
This deposit covers the cost of a night-only option (with any extras to be paid on site depending on the options chosen).

Staffed mountain refuge (half-board included) subject to conditions: in the event of unfavorable weather or snow conditions OR if the staff are unavailable => there will be no staff on duty and no half-board service; you will be notified 72 hours in advance.

We do our best to offer local, homemade meals, but unfortunately we cannot accommodate all special dietary needs. However, we do offer a vegetarian option.

ATTENTION: In winter, the refuge is staffed from January to mid-April if snow and weather conditions allow.

Restrooms are available outside the shelter. There are no bathrooms or showers in operation during the winter. The water source is marked outside, a few meters from the shelter.

You cannot charge your phone here. Please note that there is little or no cell service at the shelter.

We provide two blankets for sleeping. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag, as the nights are very cool. Dormitory temperatures range from 0 to 5°C, and there is no heating in the dormitories. Hot water bottles are available upon request.
