PLEASE NOTE: In winter, the refuge is staffed from January through mid-April, weather permitting. For special requests outside of these dates, please contact us directly using the form.
Restrooms are available outside the shelter. There are no bathrooms or showers in operation during the winter. The water source is marked outside, a few meters from the shelter.
You cannot charge your phone here. Please note that there is little or no cell service at the shelter.
We provide two blankets for sleeping. Be sure to bring a sleeping bag, as the nights are very cool. Dormitory temperatures range from 0 to 5°C, and there is no heating in the dormitories. Hot water bottles are available upon request.
We’re here to heat the building, prepare meals, keep you updated on weather and snow conditions, and help you plan your routes.
You are in a mountain environment with potentially avalanche-prone areas. You are responsible for your own safety. Be sure to check snow and weather conditions in advance, adjust your route accordingly, and ensure you have the proper equipment (skis, snowshoes, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, technical clothing, water and food supplies, etc.).
