One of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Beaufortain, accessible to everyone and close to the Pierra Menta! The path crosses magnificent flowery mountain pastures, filled with the sound of bells from Tarentaise cows. The flowers, marmots, and rocks make this a very varied and fun hike. This short hike offers a beautiful view of Mont-Blanc and the Vanoise massif, particularly Mont Pourri, the pyramid-shaped Pointe de l’Aliet, and Bellecôte.

Start from the Plan Pichu parking lot, heading toward Refuge de la Coire. Continue towards the Cormet d’Arêches pass and turn right immediately at the sign until you reach the ridge, with a stop at the Croix du Berger. Continue along the ridge, cross the Plan des Marmottes and climb up to Mont du Coin. Descend by the same path or via the vehicle track through Plan Brunet and La Chevalière.

The Beaufortain Tour is a must-do in the Savoy region; it can be completed in 4, 5, 6, or 7 days, depending on your preference. You can also simply enjoy a loop around a mountain hut. You will traverse ridges, alpine pastures, and mountain passes, with incredible views of Mont Blanc. The fauna and flora of this region will surprise you!
